Born in Borgess hospital and educated by the KPS system and KVCC. Louis is a member of The ACLU, The NAACP, NORML. Publicly, he will stand up for the %75 of voters who supported the Medical Marijuana Act and would like to thank Fred Upton for supporting this issue. Louis is Currently a resident of the Vine Historical District. At age 22 Louis has volunteered for Veterans For Safe Access, CARES, and The MMMA. He created a Kalamazoo county chapter of NORML and is the founder and director of KzooCPCL, a local coalition pursuing a charter amendment in 2010. Holding solid values that support equality, personal liberty, environmental preservation, a right to health-care and career stability, Stocking has visions of positive change throughout Kalamazoo.
Louis Stocking hopes to see local police and other public officials directed to focus time where it is needed the most and stronger personal liberties for all. Stocking will support sensible spending, overdue reform and positive change without sacrificing our unique culture. Many of our citizens are unrepresented, we need to establish a representative democracy in Kalamazoo, where city commissioners are elected by district, rather than at large.
